TITLE: Pioneer students in the classroom. 1951.
ARTIST: Tkachenko Yevgeny Nikolayevich (1923-2002)
SIZE: 35x43 cm/ '13.8x16.9 inches' (including frame)
TECHNIQUE: Oil on cardboard
Cute and charming oil painting on cardboard depicting a genre scene. Soviet schoolchildren doing an assignment in class.
They are dressed in school uniforms that correspond to the time.
It is noteworthy that the girls are wearing white aprons. This indicates that the day depicted by the artist was a holiday and the students had to wear white aprons, not black ones. And of course the bright red tie - a symbol of the Soviet era, worn with pride by Soviet schoolchildren. The teacher carefully leaned over the student to answer the question posed. Her clothes and hairstyle also correspond to the era of the 50s.
Rich and saturated colors fill this energetic painting, and the short and textured brushstrokes give the work a sense of vibrancy and joy.
The painting is housed in a contemporary frame. The colors of the frame and the passepartout harmonize beautifully with the colors of the painting and make it even more expressive.
All photos are relevant so you buy what you see in the photos.
The painting is in good condition, corresponds to the condition for vintage paintings.
