Atmospheric nighttime street scene, probably the night before sunrise, painted in mixed media on paper in the 1970s. The painting shows a panoramic view of the old town. Rows of houses of different heights, empty streets, people are still sleeping, the lights in the windows are not lit. In the distance you can see the domes of the cathedral, which, despite its monumental size, slumbers quietly under a bright blue sky, waiting for the sunrise. Elements of modernism are undoubtedly present in this painting: the artist skillfully uses flattened shapes and blocks of contrasting colors to reconstruct this scene, creating depth and a sense of space. The painting is housed in a very complementary beige mount and wooden frame which suits it very well.
